Mr. Marcus Charles Bernard Soori
Mr. Soori, who will attend medical school in Fall 2009, has interests in Ophthalmology and Cryonics. He is a Co-Founder and President of the Sri Lanka Relief Fund, which is dedicated to benefiting Southeast Asia Tsunami survivors in Sri Lanka. He serves as the Editor of NSXDriver Magazine, the official international publication of the NSX Club of America (www.nsxca.org). Mr. Soori will also be graduating with JD and MBA degrees from Creighton University in May 2009. A proud British and American dual-citizen, also having Sri-Lankan heritage and educated in three languages, he was born to a British mother and a Sri Lankan father in Rockford, Illinois on March 15th, 1983. His family moved to Omaha shortly thereafter to pursue medical positions, and from birth he was exposed to the many facets of the medical profession. Mr. Soori has been recognized by the Omaha World-Herald newspaper, the Creightonian, and local television stations, for his work in the affected areas of Sri Lanka with the Sri Lanka Relief Fund and its members.
